The golden principles of the dream society

Any coherent society hinges upon a set of major principles that paves the way for its prosperity. It is always controversial when it comes to choosing between freedom and equality since both are juxtaposed to each other. Accordingly, I choose Political, Economic and Social freedoms -respectively- as the three fundamental bases for my dream society.

In my personal opinion, the need for freedom is essential and preceding the one for equality, for being equal dictates being free beforehand. For example, political equality is defined as the ability to get your political vote and view considered as equal as the others; one person, one vote. However, expressing or acquiring political equality is not practically feasible if political freedom has not been already implemented, for if a citizen is incapable or striped his freedom of expression or assembly, then it ensues the hindering of his political participation in which political equality is a cornerstone.

Having said that, many people confuse between political freedom and freedom as the power to do whatever you desire to do. Politically speaking, the political process involving two political parties with their ideologies could be hard to adopt or to put both of the ideologies-simultaneously-into action, but it grants those parties the ability to express their views. Reaching that point, political equality then manifests as a regulator through different means, like giving equal terms or providing same facilitation for each party to represent itself.

Finally, the vast majority of the third world countries where political freedom is deemed as an extravagant issue, whenever corruption is exposed, they resort to the change of the entire cabinet including the prime minister. In fact, such high frequency of changing governments is related to economic inflation which subjects such governments to external dictations through grants and aids, and that leads to another argument concerning economic freedom.

Adopting the same methodology, economic freedom is more associated with economic sovereignty either of the state or the individual. In other words, achieving economic equality is based upon having a liberated economy of foreigner constraints or intrusions. I think economic pressure utilized by almost all of the great power countries, in the current century, is the most usable war-means along with military intervention.

Another factor that highlights the importance of economic pressure is Globalization where countries are no more economically independent. Such means has been used repeatedly in the Arab world either with Nasser, who allied the USSR, Sadat and his open-door policy that was meant to flirt the western support , and the US with its economic intervention in Latin America as Perkins, the former NSA agent, confessed in his book about the missions he has carried out in different regions .

The third criterion that I choose for my dream society is Social freedom- as being able to choose the lifestyle that fits my needs without social restrictions- which many studies have shown that economic freedom is very connected to tolerance and social values, which defines social equality precisely.
